Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to the meritorious students from class 5 to graduation. So that poor meritorious students can continue their studies comfortably.

Features of UP Meritorious Student Award Scheme
Under this scheme, those students whose parents are registered with the Uttar Pradesh Labor Department will get the benefit.
Those students who are good in studies but are not able to complete their studies due to financial constraints, they have been encouraged through this scheme.
Under this scheme, education is being provided to the children of laborers, due to which people are also becoming aware of the importance of education.
In this scheme, financial assistance is being provided to the students as an incentive, which they can use for their education.
Eligibility for UP Meritorious Student Award Scheme
The beneficiary for this scheme should be a native of Uttar Pradesh.
Students who are taking benefits of any other scheme run by the central or state government cannot take advantage of this scheme.
For this scheme, assistance will be provided to the children of workers who are engaged in wage work or construction work.
Should have 70% or above marks from 5th to 8th standard.
Should have 60% or more marks in class 9 to 12 and higher or technical education.
Amount to be given under UP Meritorious Student Award Scheme
From class 5th to 7th, Rs.4000 will be given to sons and Rs.4500 to daughters.
In class 8th, Rs 5000 will be given to sons and Rs 5500 to girls.
In class 9th and 10th, Rs 5000 will be given to sons and Rs 5500 to girls.
In class 11th and 12th, Rs 8000 will be given to sons and Rs 10000 to girls.
In B.A./B.Com/B.Sc, Rs.10000 will be given to sons and Rs.12000 to girls.
M.A.⁄ M.Com⁄M.Sc‚ L.L.B. Rs 12000 will be given to sons and Rs 13000 to girls.
In polytechnic diploma, engineering, medical degree, Rs 20000 will be given to sons and Rs 22000 will be given to girls.
Application for UP Meritorious Student Award Scheme
First of all, you have to get the application form of this scheme, which you will get from the office of the District Labor Department near you or the Tehsildar or Block Office of the Tehsil.
You will start receiving this form after 3 months of passing your exam. This form must be attested by your Principal.
The deadline for filling the application form has been fixed from 1st July to 30th December. In this scheme, application can be made up to 1 year after passing a class as per the information given above.
Once you get the application form, fill it up and attach all the required documents given above and get it attested by your principal.
Applicants from class 5 to 8 who have passed from recognized schools will also have to take an acceptance letter from their District Basic Education Officer and also have to attach it.
After filling the application form, it has to be submitted in the same office from where it was received.
After the submission of the application form, it will be checked in the concerned office. After this, whether it has been accepted or rejected, information will be given to the applicant.
If the application form is accepted then the amount of assistance given under this scheme will be credited to their parents or their own account.
