The Second Grade is the second of 4 grades in a Girl's Golf Program. The purpose of the program is to introduce young girls to the sport of golf and provide an opportunity for them to develop their skills, learn about teamwork, and have fun. Girls in this program range in age from 6 to 11 years old and participate in weekly tournaments as well as special events throughout the year.

In 2018, SGPGI welcomed its newest member club, Stony Point Golf Club. Located in Keswick, VA, Stony Point GC is home to a challenging 18-hole course that will provide plenty of opportunity for our Second Graders. Tournament participation has increased since our club joined SGPGI with nearly 30 events scheduled during the 2018-19 season. Our goal is for all members of SGPGI to experience tournament competition at some point during their golfing careers - whether it’s their first year or their tenth!

How to become a Sister Grade II

The SGPGI Sister Grade II program is designed to help sisters become certified in gardening, landscape design, and property management. The program is divided into two parts: the 1-day course and the 3-month online course.

To become a sister grade II, you must pass both parts of the program.

The 1-day course covers topics such as planting basics, choosing plants for your garden, and garden maintenance.

The 3-month online course teaches sisters how to design and manage gardens and estates, including plant selection, irrigation systems, and pest control.

Both courses require hours of hands-on training with a qualified instructor.

After completing both courses, sisters are prepared to work as professional gardeners or property managers.
