Rajasthan Indira Rasoi Yojana

Rajasthan Indira Rasoi Yojana, The Government of Rajasthan had launched the Indira Rasoi Yojana to ensure that no person in the state goes to bed hungry (No one sleeps hungry). On 22 June 2020 CM Ashok Gehlot announced that food is provided to poor people twice a day at low rates.

Rajasthan Indira Rasoi Yojana

Indira Rasoi Yojana is an improved version of the Annapurna Rasoi Yojana already running in Rajasthan. In this scheme, the state government will ensure that all the needy and hungry people get clean and nutritious food. Government of Rajasthan. Will take the help of local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the implementation of Indira Rasoi Yojana. Its features are as follows:-

Pure, fresh and nutritious food for 8 rupees to the beneficiary
arranging food by sitting at one place respectfully

Rs.17 per plate grant by the state government (earlier Rs.12 grant was given which has been increased to Rs.17)

Provision of Rs 250 crore per year for the scheme

Target to benefit 3.35 lakh persons per day and 12.17 crore people per year. It can be increased further as per the requirement.

Normally lunch will be provided from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and dinner will be provided from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The food menu mainly includes 100 grams of pulses, 100 grams of vegetables, 250 grams of chapati and pickle per plate.

CM had introduced this Indira Rasoi Yojana which will be beneficial during the Coronavirus un-locking period as well as post COVID-19 period. Under the Indira Rasoi Yojana, the total number of Indira 

Rasoi across the state will be increased to 1,000, as announced in the Rajasthan Budget 2022-23.

Indira Rasoi Yojana has been started in 12 municipalities of Jaipur district. The following will be in the food menu of the thali being served under Indira Rasoi Yojana.

100 grams lentils
100 grams vegetables
250 grams chapati

The items on the plate can be changed as per the local requirement as suggested by the district level committees. The food quality will be checked by the district level committees from time to time and complaints can be lodged with the district collectors.
