Haryana Free Tablet Scheme, Haryana Free Tablet Scheme is being launched by the state government for the government school students. In this Haryana Free Android Tabs Scheme, the state government will provide free tabs to around 9.87 lakh students from class 8th to 12th in government schools. Android based tablets will be distributed on the lines of library scheme, under which they will be the property of Haryana Government. Android tablets are going to aid students in their online education in schools.

Haryana Free Tablet Scheme 2022

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on 23 November 2021 (Tuesday) said that free tablets will soon be given to the students of class 11 and 12 across the state. The government has decided to buy five lakh tablets, which will be given to the students studying in class 11th and 12th in the upcoming academic session. The CM said that a total of Rs 560 crore would be spent in procuring these tablets.

The state government is planning to provide free Android tablets to the students of government schools amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Haryana government plans to provide tablet devices to students of classes 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of all categories of government schools. Haryana Free Tablet Scheme will help the students to take advantage of digital education through online mode. Haryana government will distribute free tablets to 9.87 lakh students studying in class 8th to 12th of government schools in Haryana. Haryana government's decision to give free tablets to students will not hinder online education. Students from economically weaker families will also be able to continue their online classes through the free tablet given by the Haryana government. 

Free Android tablet to be government property

In the free tablet scheme, tablet devices will be distributed on the lines of the library scheme. This means that all Android tablets will remain the property of the state government. The device will be issued to the Govt. School students for online education and they have to return it after passing class 12.
