GoI Designates 5 New Ramsar Sites, taking total number to 54
With the designation of 5 new Ramsar sites, the GoI has taken the total number of Ramsar sites in India to 54. The sites include Gulf of Cambay, Sundarbans National Park, Terai–Mahela Wildlife Sanctuary, Eastern Ghats-Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary and Western Ghats-Mysore Wilderness Sanctuaries.
