The statue was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a function in Bangalore.

The statue of Swamy Ramanujacharya, the 17th century saint and philosopher, was virtually unveiled by Prime Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday in Puducherry. The statue was installed near the Vidyanagar Lake.


Speaking after unveiling the statue, Amit Shah said that Swamy Ramanujacharya was a great thinker who had brought about positive changes in society. He also praised the saint for his contributions to Hinduism.


Swamy Ramanujacharya is considered to be one of the most important thinkers in Hinduism. He is known for his works on philosophy, religion and literature.


Statue of Peace to be inaugurated by Amit Shah on November 10


Statue of Peace, a memorial to Swamy Ramanujacharya, will be inaugurated by Amit Shah on November 11.


Amit Shah virtually unveiled the Statue of Peace on Saturday at a function in Chennai. The monument is a tribute to the Tamil spiritual leader and philosopher, Swamy Ramanujacharya.


The statue is a 184-foot-tall bronze figure of Swamy surrounded by statues of his disciples. The statue is located in an amphitheater in the city of Thanjavur and is scheduled to be inaugurated by Amit Shah on November 11.


Swamy Ramanujacharya is one of the most revered spiritual leaders in India. He is known for his contributions to Vedic scholarship and for his teachings on Yoga. He also founded the Madras University and the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple.

Union Minister Amit Shah today virtually unveiled the statue of Swamy Ramanujaacharya, which will be installed at a function in Puducherry on November 3. He made the announcement in a video message to the devotees and followers of the philosopher-saint.


The statue is almost ready and will be installed at a place called Thiruvannamalai, about 150 km from Chennai. The Union Minister said the statue is a replica of one that was originally installed at Kanchipuram, but it has been enlarged to reflect Swamy's stature as a philosopher-saint.


Swamy Ramanujaacharya was born in Tamil Nadu around 788 AD and became one of the most important philosophers and saints in Hinduism. He is also known as Acharya Ramanuja or Sri Rama Navami.
