Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has launched six national highways projects in Madhya Pradesh. The projects are - NH-51, NH-22A, NH-47, NH-45, NH-2 and SH-3.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today launched six National Highway projects in Madhya Pradesh. The projects include construction of a new NH-55 in Shivpuri district, upgradation of NH-5 in Morena district, improvement of NH-17 in Guna district, rehabilitation of NH-53 in Ujjain district, widening of NH-2 in Satna district and construction of a new SH-2 in Mandla district.
The total cost of these projects is Rs. 6,553 crore. The minister said that the projects will help improve transportation connectivity across the state and boost economic development.
